Prior to becoming a founding member of Coughlin Capital, LLC, Carl was a business development professional at Golden Gate Fields and Salesforce.com. At Golden Gate Fields, Carl successfully streamlined the sales and customer management processes, as well as, implemented multiple new marketing initiatives that increased attendance by over 10%.

At Salesforce.com, Carl was a consistent top performer and contributed to the growth of the new “Chat” sales channel. During the first year of implementation, the Chat team delivered over $12.1 million in sales. Carl obtained his B.S. in Marketing from the Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University, and his M.B.A., with a dual concentration in Finance and Entrepreneurship, from the Masagung Graduate School of Management from the University of San Francisco as a Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society member. During his graduate studies, Carl also worked as a business development consultant for multiple companies within the automotive and manufacturing industries.
